Fiuggi Thermal Baths
The city of Fiuggi is a renowned spa town in central Italy, boasting a unique history and an ideal geographic location for those who love a mild climate and lush, unspoiled nature. Over the years, it has transformed from a small rural village into a top-class spa resort, especially during the heyday of the “Dolce Vita,” when Fiuggi was a destination for internationally renowned politicians, artists, directors, and singers, scientists, writers, and journalists who recounted its authentic beauty, but also for many ordinary people who discovered and appreciated the beneficial effects of the healing waters that made Fiuggi famous worldwide.
History and Culture
History and culture are an integral part of our region. You can explore the cultural and sacred sites around Fiuggi through guided and organized excursions. A short distance from Fiuggi, you can visit several medieval and pre-Roman towns, such as Ferentino or Anagni, famous for being the birthplace of four popes (Innocent III, Alexander IV, Gregory IX, and Boniface VIII) and for having long been the papal residence and seat. Anagni’s history is particularly tied to the events of Pope Boniface VIII and the episode known as the “Slap of Anagni.” Veroli or Alatri, famous for its acropolis and polygonal walls, are also worth a visit. You can also explore the Benedictine Monastery of Subiaco and other internationally renowned sites, such as Casamari Abbey or Montecassino Abbey.
Food and Wine
Fiuggi is nestled in the upper Ciociaria region, a region rich in treasures. From a food and wine perspective, our guests can explore the Cesanese wine trail through excursions and vineyard tours. At the farms and agritourisms, producers of local cheeses and other typical products will offer numerous tastings.
Sports and Entertainment
For those seeking a vacation dedicated to sports and nature, our guests can enjoy the new 18-hole golf course at the Fiuggi Golf Club, already a popular destination for both professional and amateur players. There are also swimming pools, tennis courts, soccer fields, guided paragliding, rafting on the Aniene River, archery, horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking.
There’s no shortage of entertainment: since 2011, the Rainbow Magicland amusement park in Valmontone (30 km from Fiuggi) has been open, making it one of the largest amusement parks in Europe, offering numerous attractions for both adults and children.
